Client Overview

Kanoo Travel was launched in the late 1930s alongside the rise of Bahrain’s aviation industry. The first IATA member agency in the GCC, it has since grown to become the largest travel company in the Middle East, offering the most comprehensive and sophisticated solutions in the industry. Today it boasts a team of over 1,445 travel specialists across the region, operating a network of 146 IATA locations. It has established world-class partnerships in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Lebanon, the United Kingdom and France. 

The division also represents American Express (the largest Travel Management Company in the world) in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, with which it has a master franchise agreement covering the Levant, North Africa, the GCC, Iraq and the CIS countries.

Project Objectives

Kanoo Travel reached out to us in March 2020 in the midst of the COVID19 lockdown that was taking the travel world by storm and greatly affected the travel of passengers to and from their home countries. Kanoo travel faced the issue of not being able to notify their network of clients about the sudden update of travel procedures as well as routes. These clients were dependent on Kanoo Travel for all the travel requirements of their employees. 

We were requested to step in and co-ordinate with the various airlines partnered with Kanoo to create marketing content with an extremely short turnover period in order to notify Kanoo Travel’s clientele about any sudden updates to flight routes and requirements.

We stepped in and took on the marketing requirements of Kanoo Travel headfirst. Our primary objective was to create a base design guide that could be followed across all designs to ensure a sense of uniformity. Once the core design was cemented we proceeded to work directly with Kanoo Management and airline leads to pump out content at breakneck speeds. The result of our work enabled Kanoo to notify their clientele almost instantly of the changes in the travel requirements and flight schedules. 

During this period, we created flyers for Emirates, Ethiad, Gulf Air, Lufthansa, Air India, Fly Dubai, Phillipines Airlines, KLM and Air France to name a few. We also created content for various resort and hotel lines in the UAE ranging from Hilton and Andaz to the Sheraton and Anantara. 

The base design elements we created for Kanoo Travel in 2020 is still being used by the brand in 2022.
