When it all began!

Our story began in August 2019, when a group of 6 talented individuals realized that if they combined their unique skillsets, they would be able to create a unique brand that could cater to the tech and marketing needs of some of the biggest brands in the UAE.

Jul, 2020

Roughpaper is registered in Dubai.

In July 2020, we took the big step to chase our vision, by registering Roughpaper Technologies in Dubai. This was a bold move as we were in the midst of a pandemic, however, looking back it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Being a company born in a pandemic enabled us to adapt to the new remote work, digital era and also enabled us to develop new marketing strategies for our clientele.

Jan, 2021

VRTours UAE launch. FAILED.

In January 2021, we launched VRTours UAE which was an immersive 360 VR offering aimed at real estate brands, malls, exhibitions and indoor spaces. We launched this project as we believed the use of VR would increase due to the pandemic, however, we were incorrect and as a result, VRTours UAE was terminated after 6 months.

Dec, 2021

Roughpaper is registered in India.

In December 2021, we finally expanded to India and registered Roughpaper LLP as a legal entity. Our Indian branch office is aimed at enterprise level software development projects for high level corporations that require bespoke software solutions for internal processes.

Jun, 2022

“I Know UAE” launched.

We have launched Iknowuae as a one stop platform for people to learn more about UAE through influencers and creators in the region. The vision of this brand is to create an influencer network capable of organically growing local brands through innovative digital campaigns. We envision Iknowuae to be a platform for influencers to connect, grow and expand on their skillsets.
